Dog photography in Yorkshire.
Calm, confidence-led sessions shaped by real dog-training knowledge, so your dog feels happy, safe and themselves.
Why behaviour-led photography matters
Most dogs don’t love standing still and “posing”. And that’s okay - because I don’t expect them to.
With years of dog-training experience, I understand body language, comfort levels and what helps dogs feel safe. Your session will be calm, fun and completely dog-led, so their real personality shines through naturally.
Your dog will love this because:
I work at their pace
No forced poses or pressure
Capturing them in their natural environment
Breaks, sniffing and resets are always welcome
Sessions are shaped around their confidence and comfort
This isn’t just photography - it’s an experience that feels good for you and your dog.

What do my clients say?
"Tilly and I spent an hour with Helen having photos taken and they are fantastic!
The setting was perfect; on the moors where Tilly could be herself. Helen guided us through the process, taking into account Tilly's personality and needs (arthritic legs). Her love of dogs and photography shone through, which made the experience flow.
The photos were with me in a couple of days and are beautiful. Precious memories captured. I highly recommend Helen if you want special photos taken of your dog(s)."

FAQs
What if my dog is nervous or reactive?
That’s completely fine. My training experience means I can recognise stress signals and adapt the session to help them feel safe. Many reactive or anxious dogs do brilliantly with a calm, dog-led approach.
Can I be in the photos too?
Absolutely. Many guardians love having a few photos together - natural, relaxed and full of connection.
Where do the shoots take place?
Where your dog feels happiest: your home, a secure field, a favourite walking spot or at my indoor doggy photography studio (we will always make them comfortable and happy before we even consider taking any pics. No costumes, just the dog being their natural naked self!!)
Do you work with puppies?
Yes! Puppy energy makes for amazing photos. We keep things short, fun and full of breaks.
What should I bring?
Treats, toys, water and anything your dog finds comforting. I’ll guide you before the session.
